Pearl Comics (“we,” “us”) publishes free, ad-free stories and comics for kids at pearlcomics.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used. We've written it in plain language rather than dense legal text, but if anything is unclear, contact us — see the bottom of this page.

Reading doesn't require an account

Every story on Pearl Comics can be read for free without signing up or providing any personal information. An account is only needed for optional features like saving bookmarks or tracking reading progress across visits.

Information we collect

If you choose to create an account, we collect:

• Your email address, and a display name if you provide one.
• If you sign in with Google or Apple, basic profile info they share with us (name, email) — we never see your Google or Apple password.
• Which stories you've bookmarked and how far you've read, so you can pick up where you left off.

We also use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand overall site traffic — this doesn't identify individual visitors or use tracking cookies.

What we don't do

• We don't run ads or ad-tracking of any kind on Pearl Comics.
• We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
• We don't knowingly collect personal information from children directly — accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent or guardian.

A note for parents

Because Pearl Comics is enjoyed by children, we've deliberately kept data collection minimal: no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no account required just to read. If you're a parent and want to review or delete information tied to your family's account, contact us and we'll take care of it.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site, and only share what's necessary for them to do their job:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account sign-in.
• Google / Apple — if you choose to sign in with one of these, they handle that authentication step.
• Vercel — hosts the website and provides anonymous traffic analytics.

Cookies and local storage

If you sign in, we use a small amount of browser storage to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can stop using your account at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data (bookmarks, reading progress), contact us using the email below and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle information, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
