In Nand Bhavan, Yashoda Maiya was sleeping peacefully in her room. At that moment, Devi Yogmaya appeared before her in her divine form.

That same night, a divine leela unfolded in Nanda Bhavan in Gokul. While Yashoda Maiya remained in deep sleep, Devi Yogamaya was born as a tiny baby girl. No one in the household was aware of this divine birth.

On that divine night, Devi Yogmaya’s power put all of Gokul into a deep sleep. Yashoda Maiya remained unaware of her child’s birth and whether the newborn was a boy or a girl.

At the same time, Yogamaya’s divine power spread through the Mathura prison. All the guards suddenly fell into a deep sleep. The soldiers who had been keeping strict watch were now completely unaware of everything happening around them.

Then Vasudeva Ji’s chains opened on their own. He looked at newborn Baby Krishna with wonder and devotion.

One by one, the locked doors of the prison began to open by themselves. Vasudeva Ji understood that this was a divine arrangement and that he must now take Baby Krishna safely to Gokul.

Vasudeva Ji gently placed newborn Baby Krishna in a basket. He lifted the basket above his head and quietly walked out of the Mathura prison.

Outside, the night was dark and stormy. Black clouds thundered, and heavy rain poured down. Still, Vasudeva Ji continued his journey toward Gokul without stopping.

Then Ananta Sheshnag appeared. He spread his great hoods above Baby Krishna like a divine umbrella and protected the newborn Lord from the rain.

After walking for some time, Vasudeva Ji reached the banks of the Yamuna River. Because of the heavy rain, the river was swollen and the waters were rushing strongly.

Then the waters of the Yamuna gently rose and touched Baby Krishna’s tiny feet. It was as if Mother Yamuna herself wished to welcome Lord Krishna by touching His divine feet.

After touching Baby Krishna’s feet, the raging waters of the Yamuna began to calm. A safe path opened for Vasudeva Ji, and he slowly reached the other side.

In the darkness of the night, Vasudeva Ji finally reached Gokul. Under Yogamaya’s divine influence, all of Gokul was still fast asleep.

Nanda Bhavan was completely peaceful. Everyone remained in a deep sleep. Without waking anyone, Vasudeva Ji quietly entered Yashoda Maiya’s room.

Yashoda Maiya was deeply asleep, and the tiny baby girl Yogamaya was lying beside her. Vasudeva Ji gently placed Baby Krishna beside Yashoda Maiya.

Then Vasudeva Ji gently picked up the newborn baby girl. No one knew that he had come, and he began his journey back to Mathura carrying Yogamaya.

Vasudeva Ji crossed the Yamuna once again and safely returned to the Mathura prison. He gently placed the baby girl Yogamaya beside Devaki Ji.

As soon as Vasudeva Ji returned, everything became as it had been before. The prison doors closed on their own, and his chains returned to their place.

When Yashoda Maiya opened her eyes in the morning, she saw a beautiful baby boy beside her. The moment she saw Baby Krishna, her heart filled with motherly love.

As soon as Nanda Baba learned that a baby boy had been born in his home, he was filled with joy. Happiness and celebration spread throughout Nanda Bhavan.

Soon, the joyful news spread throughout Gokul— “A baby boy has been born to Nanda Baba and Yashoda Maiya!” The gopas and gopis happily began coming to Nanda Bhavan. Everywhere in Gokul, people began celebrating the birth of Baby Krishna.

Back in the Mathura prison, the tiny baby girl suddenly began to cry. Hearing her cries, the prison guards woke from their deep sleep.

The guards saw the newborn baby girl beside Devaki Ji. They realized that Devaki’s eighth child had been born.

The guards quickly went to Kansa and said, “Maharaj! Devaki’s eighth child has been born!” Hearing this, Kansa became alarmed. The prophecy echoed once again in his mind, and he hurried toward the prison.

When Kansa reached the prison, he saw a tiny baby girl in Devaki Ji’s arms. For a moment, he was surprised. He had expected the eighth child to be a boy, but a baby girl was before him.

Devaki Ji held the baby girl close to her heart and pleaded with Kansa, “Brother, she is only a tiny baby girl. What danger can she be to you? Please spare her.” But fear of the prophecy had clouded Kansa’s mind.

As Kansa tried to harm the baby girl, she suddenly slipped from his hands. Before his eyes, she rose high into the sky.

In an instant, the tiny baby girl appeared in the radiant divine form of Devi Yogamaya. Her divine light filled the entire prison. Kansa stared up at the Goddess in fear and wonder.

Then Devi Yogamaya warned Kansa— Foolish Kansa! You think you will kill me? The one who will bring about your end has already been born elsewhere.”

Terrified by Devi Yogamaya’s warning, Kansa fell at the feet of Devaki Ji and Vasudeva Ji. He pleaded, “Please forgive me. I have done great wrong to both of you.”

Kansa removed the iron chains of Devaki Ji and Vasudeva Ji and released them from captivity. But under Kansa’s fearful rule, they remained in Mathura, while little Shri Krishna stayed safely in Gokul.
